Robinhood
Robinhood has officially launched its public Layer 2 (L2) testnet, marking a significant step into blockchain infrastructure. Despite being a traditional brokerage giant, the company is now exploring scaling solutions and on-chain experimentation.
Currently, available activities are limited and relatively simple. There are no advanced or highly specialized tasks yet, and participation does not require deep technical involvement. However, considering the scale of the company and its funding background, this testnet could potentially become an interesting opportunity for early users — especially for those tracking possible future crypto airdrops.
As always, participation should be approached strategically and without unrealistic expectations.
How to Participate
Claim Testnet Tokens from Faucets
Start by claiming free test tokens from the official Robinhood testnet faucet.
Connect your Ethereum wallet, enter your wallet address, and log in with your Google account. Make sure to claim all available assets if multiple options are provided.
This step is essential because you will need testnet ETH to interact with the Robinhood Layer 2 network.
Bridge ETH from Sepolia to Robinhood Testnet
Use the official Arbitrum bridge to transfer ETH Sepolia to the Robinhood Chain Testnet.
Before confirming the transaction, ensure that the confirmation checkbox at the bottom is selected. Once bridged, your funds will be available on the Robinhood L2 network for further interactions.
Bridging activity is often tracked in potential airdrop eligibility
.
Register a .hood Domain (InfinityName)
Visit InfinityName and switch the network to Robinhood Testnet.
Go to the Domains section, search for your desired name, and register a domain ending in .hood.
Domain registrations are commonly used as on-chain identity signals and may increase your testnet activity footprint.
Register a .hood Domain via ZNS
Search for your preferred name on ZNS.bio.
Switch the slider to Testnet, choose the .hood extension, add it to the cart, and complete the checkout process.
Important: If MetaMask causes issues during payment, try using another compatible wallet.
This step adds more interaction depth to your Robinhood testnet profile
Create and Deploy Your Own NFT
Go to NFTs2Me and connect to the Robinhood Testnet network.
Fill in the required metadata fields, upload an image, and click Deploy.
Deploying a smart contract and minting your own NFT demonstrates advanced on-chain interaction, which is often valuable in testnet participation.
Mint Available NFTs on Robinhood Testnet
Mint NFTs across multiple Robinhood testnet platforms.
Complete all available tasks on each platform. If certain mints require purchasing a passport and the task is not tracked properly, you may skip those.
Minting activity increases wallet engagement metrics and interaction history.
Perform GM Interactions & Claim Badges
Visit supported platforms and perform “GM” interactions or contract deployments.
After completing actions, go to the badges section and claim available rewards.
Regular engagement such as daily GM interactions can sometimes serve as long-term activity signals in future airdrop considerations.
Airdrop FAQ
Robinhood is a well-known US brokerage platform founded in 2013. The company has raised over $5.7 billion from major investors including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Ribbit Capital.
Now Robinhood is expanding into crypto infrastructure by launching its own Layer 2 blockchain built on Arbitrum technology.
The new Robinhood Chain focuses on:
-
Tokenized real-world assets (RWA)
-
Stocks and ETFs on-chain
-
DeFi integrations
-
Scalable low-fee transactions
The public testnet is now live, allowing users to interact with the network early — which may potentially position wallets for future rewards.
There is no official confirmation of a token or airdrop yet.
However:
-
The project launched a public testnet
-
Users can bridge, mint NFTs, deploy contracts
-
Mainnet is expected closer to 2026
Historically, many major Layer 2 networks have rewarded early testnet users. Participation is currently free, making it a low-risk opportunity.
